New member with a Tree ID question

Went to fire up my log splitter this morning and was greeted with a broken seal on the hydraulic pump....so I grabbed the ole splitting axe and went to work. Split a cord and half of hickory in a day, in a weird way I really enjoyed myself. Enjoy the pics
 
Hickory is awesome firewood. We don't see much of it left around here. I've got 3 semi-mature Bitternut Hickory trees out front as decorative shade trees.
I've also seen it used as cabinet doors and flooring at it's just beautiful stuff.
Thanks for the great pics and enjoy that heat you'll get.
