I'm not sure what the R stands for? But that's what it says on the box. If anyone else knows feel free to chime in. I don't know of any other model of MS 461 out there, as far as I know there's just the regular half wrap and full wrap handlebar, then the Arctic series. Let me know if that doesn't answer your question.
