She lives. 1/4" fuel line installed. Was glad to see spark on first pull. 2nd pull she popped. Not bad for setting for 10 years.

Now to see if the klotz kl200 cleans that running old mix tarnish off the piston.

Just ran it with 28" buried that came with it in dry ash log. I'm happy with it where she is.

I would have to work on the chain to make it cut the way I like. Cant really pull it down. Came with a chain that was already sharpened.

Like this ribbed handle grip way better then the foam one that was on the 8500.

85 cc same as the 5200 and the 8500, I did a search and the 5400 came next in line after the 5200, small differences but some improvements to the 5200

And yes it was a little old lady, she said it was just getting too heavy, she bought a small squeel.

Been used, but not abused. had a 22in bar that was fubar, probably original.
Gas cap had swollen, muffler had one screw hole enlarged.
The partition was fixed by somebody.
I have the outer dog coming.
Its a BP and runs great.

Interesting info.

I was wondering why it was 90dl. This explains it, poulan called it 27" 90dl.
Plus the poulan 720 chain that came with it.

Didn't know they ran 404 chain on a bow bar, that's a big chain.

Guy was looking for a 3450 with 20". He wanted my GB bar I had been running on it. But told him I would sell it with this ole oem bar. Time will tell if it goes.

Dual port muffler with 3 shoe clutch.

Grabbed this from my aunts house yesterday. This (was) the strongest running 42cc Poulan I’ve personally operated but I scored the piston while processing a 30” tree (it was the only saw available). Going to clean up the piston and throw it back together. If it runs well I’ll throw the modded muffler on it from my other saw. Will post pics once it’s apart.

Biggest daym mud dauber nest that I had ever seen in a saw...no doubt a Texas saw.
