Numbers on the chain drivers?

Will someone please tell me what numbers such as "72" on the drivers mean? I have never seen reference made to these. Thanks.

72 means that it is 3/8the pitch .050 gauge Oregon chain.
73 would make it 3/8ths .058 ga.
75 would be 3/8ths .063.
91 is 3/8ths low profile .050 ga.
I don't remeber the numbers on .325 chain
