Four of my oak seedlings, less than a year old, have planted in a high rabbit area. I did not protect them, and I guess the rabbits ate them. That was a month ago. Yesterday, I noticed that all 4 seedlings are sprouting new shoots. The new growth looks like a branch off the old stem.

My question is: Will these new shoots straighten out and create a healthy tree, or will these seedlings be forever disfigured?

Thanks

They should be ok. I have a few Monterrey oaks that have done the same thing.
