Our big oak tree recently started having wilted leaves and even more recently, started losing a significant amount of leaves (starting to look like Fall, with leaves piling up in the yard). We did have the tree trimmed back in April (which from what I'm reading now, that was not the time of year to do it).
We live in the midwest (Kansas City) and have had little rain and high heat the last 6 weeks or so. Prior to that, we had a period of a large amount of rain. Obviously hoping this isn't oak wilt, likely starting by the recent trimming.
No other changes have been made to the yard/tree the last 5-years. Was told it appeared the tree hadn't been trimmed in at least 30-years. The tree is likely at least as old as the house, which is around 80-years old.
Please let me know if you would like any additional details, photos, etc.
Thanks in advance for your help.
