Sure it is, if the power of the 7900 is needed, or makes you happy!
I decided not to do it, and have no regrets, as we don't have any really large trees up here!

I say keep your old 346 and get a 7900 or the 372. Either would be the last big saw you would ever need.
You will always wonder, no matter how good a 50cc saw is, just how much better it would be with a 70cc saw. I've never seen anyone complain about having too much power. Weight maybe, but not power. IMO.
