I put my old xl-12 away a couple of years ago. Ran all of the fuel out of it before doing so. Today I pulled her out for a trial run and couldn't get her to fire. I checked spark and it looked good. A teaspoon of fuel in the cylinder and she fires right up until it is gone. This is just an old extra saw and I don't want to put a bunch of money into it. Are there any quick fixes to try outside of a carb rebuild?

Might check the fuel line for a split in between the tank and where it enters the carb box. Most homelites that have been sitting awhile tend to have this problem I have seen. good luck
