I have no way to do a compression test, I don't even cut or burn wood anymore (my son is allergic to the burning wood). I picked these two saws up at an auction, an elderly woman just lost her husband and was selling her home & everything she had and moving to Florida. I just thought these saws were cool so I bought them to clean up and tinker with. They both needed cleaning but no tinkering as they both ran fine.
