My Pioneer P40 got crushed by a Rolls-Royce in 1978 (boring story). After a few repairs to the handles (no chain brake on my 1975 saw) it still works fine.
When cold, it starts on the 17th or 26th pull, just like when it was new.

Now that's funny and it gets you some rep.

Ouch!

Poor little Stihl...atleast it's still running. The wife is probably never going to let you hear the end of this one! On the up-side, you do have just cause to by a new saw! Fix the old one...give it back to her...keep the new one for yourself! Now that I think about it...are you sure you didn't do this on purpose? :hmm3grin2orange:

Stihl Tough!

I'm impressed! I finally got a chance to look at the damage done by rolling a log onto the 017. The only thing that was broke on the saw is the chain brake lever. The the top shroud was knocked off and the switch shaft came unsnapped, but other than that, nothing. I guess I have a new appreciation for plastic.
