I like oregon chain because it cuts good (for my firewood needs) and is cheaper and easier to find.

Can't beat it for the price and its sold everywhere in the country. Best chain made, nope. Best for the price, yepp.

I like Oregon chain for clean cutting conditions, where it holds an edge for me quite nicely, Carlton chain is VERY nice too, though it takes more effort to sharpen than Oregon chain. they're both good brands for work chains, though I prefer carlton for overall stay sharp abilities.
