Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section, but 30" Logrite Hookeroon on amazon for 34.02 and free hipping what a deal!

I just ordered one for that price, I believe this is the brand Stihl puts their logo on and sells for 70+

Balieys sells this for $70 plus shipping! I don't get any kickbacks for this just passing along a good deal for folks.

I see it's an Amazon seller and not Amazon itself. He's probably just wanting to move along his stock and folks can get a great deal at his expense.

I just ordered one. Okay I confess, I didn't order one, I ordered three... One for me, one for a friend, and one as a gift for my buddy who lent me his four wheeler at a time when I needed it as a wheelchair.

Big thanks to @TysonH for the heads up. I own one of these already, and it's an EXCELLENT tool. Light, strong, works well, usually expensive, but at this price, what's not to love?

That was quick! I should have bought one for my dad.

Well when it gets here I'm curious to give it a try in dry oak. Anyone have experience with that situation?

I use my pickaroon for clearing the truck and trailer of splits when stacking. It definitely makes for less foot steps. Haven't used this style but even if it's 7/8 as useful it's still a no-brainer tool for firewood hacks.

Of the three pickaroons that I've tried, the logrite is definitely the best in hardwood. Getting the perfect amount of force behind your swing (firm grip for the duration of your task followed by an easy release), is different with every pick design and wood type, but the logrite is the sharpest and has the smallest profile of the ones I've used. Of course, that makes it sink deeper into softwood than the other ones I've used. Different pickaroons for different wood, I guess.

they changed back to 66.73 +4.01 shipping

how about I tell you about a screaming deal you can have any day of the week http://www.landmsupply.com/search-results/woodchuck-tools-pick-axe this one has a great tip design that really holds in about any round you can lift and some you can't lift. this version for 39 dollars has a small axe head also , it works good to cut the strigy bits when splitting to get that wild grape vine in your way or the root in a trail that keeps tripping you

if you don't want the axe head for 29 you can have it without http://www.landmsupply.com/search-results/woodchuck-tools-pickaroon

for 24 you can have this one http://www.landmsupply.com/search-results/jh-contracting-pickaroon-36
it works but I like the woodchuck tip better

the woodchuck's barbed tip stays in a log better , of course that also means it is a little harder to get out when you want it out but I can lift rounds to the splitter or bed of the truck that I need 2 hands and a serious grunt to get up there probably over a hundred pounds

Thanks for the link. You just pushed me over the edge to finally buy one.

So, how good a deal was it? Over 66 big ones by the time I saw it and that ain't anywhere near a good deal.

$34.02 with free shipping. It was a steal. Honestly, though, after paying full price for one of them, I can say that it's still a good deal even at $66.

Yep, not bad. Last one I bought was IIRC in the $74 range. Used it once and haven't been able to find it since. Still have the original 36". I lost my first one by leaving it on top of the load as I left the wood grove.

Heck, if you handled wood and used a pickaroon every day, $100 for one of these logrites would still be a good deal in my opinion. It's really a great tool.
