Damnest thing I have seen in a while. I'm far from a expert on these models but can't help think someone down the line drilled and retapped it. If done right I would think you would not be able to tell if it was done or not. It looks like it was done right if it was indeed retapped. I'm thinking why the Hell someone would retap twice the thread size of the original 14mm plug though. I see no difference between my other P60'saws. Cylinder and everything looks the same.

I think @pioneerguy600 would be of help here.

The reason they went to a 18mm plug thread is there isn't a 15, 16 or 17mm plug, far as I know.

I didnt think about it at first but no it dawns on me, that UD 16 plug is a heat range 16 plug and it seems like it is in the hubs of hell hot for heat range. Along with the extra bit of reach I'm glad you haven't had any damage to the saw yet by running that.

If it was mine and I had to run that size plug, I would be on the hunt for a D6 or no more then D9 plug for it and would probably double gasket it, like I see had already been done.
