thinking about building a outside wood burner looking for ideas

Your question is pretty vague so all I can tell you is build a BIG firebox with a decent amount of water in the jacket. (that's kinda hard to explain.)
By decent I don't mean a bazillion gallons and I also don't mean 20 gallons.
Heating 300 gallon with a 6 cubic ft fire box isn't real efficient.
