Last year we were in the Black Forest Fires and lost nearly all of the trees on our property. We have a some old growth big trees that got hot but didn't burn. Minor scorching to the lower trunk, no canopy burn. Some of the lower branches got hot enough to wilt the needles. Trying to figure out the best thing to do for these trees, since we have so few left we'd like to increase their odds of survival. We have the added complication of drought stressing the trees as well. Any help would be appreciated.

I set up an irrigating system for a bunch of my large pines during the 2010 drought. The ones I've been watering are all still alive, but a bunch of the others got taken out by the bark beetles. I assume alleviating the drought stress will allow the trees to better handle the fire stress
