Poulan 245 sprayin gas out of cap

Hey everybody,got the ol 245 A runnin today.Runs real good but shoots a stream of gas out the finishing nail size vent hole in the gas cap.Does it hot or cold.The vent hole looks a bit big,how big should it be?Theres no other tank vent on these saws.I promise once I get a better camera than my phone,Ill post pics

You need the little duckbill valve that's still available from Poulan. I had the same problem with mine.
