Power pruners can be very beneficial in certain situations. But if you work for a reputable company and want to do things the right way, how can you follow the operator manual that warns “maintain a clearance of at least 50 feet between pruner and any electrical line carrying live current?” Electrical lines are everywhere. Any ideas??

The owner's manual is there to protect you from yourself. More importantly, to protect the manufacturer from ANY liability (or so they would hope).
