A client of mine wants to apply granular Princep (90%) underneath a grove of white pine (approximate age 40 years), and do the same under a stand of red pine (approximate age 25 years) to help control the underbrush regrowth.

Are there any concerns to the overstory pines? Is there a better product to use in this situation? In the past, I believe they have used a combination of Roundup and then Princep (in another area).

Thank you for any assistance.

i know that roundup is fairly safe and wont move in the soil , i dont know about the other product, cut the under brush and then treat with roundup. keep the roundup away fromthe trees you want to save, away fromthe green leaves.
