This is one of the saws I kept from my recent CL score of 7 jred (in various condition). the other saw I believe is a 621. These saws came from a guy who bought them from a logger. The saw is in great shape, but (no surprise) very dirty. Today I started on it.
1. comp test: 200 psi, pulled muff no surprise here, perfect P&C
2. spark test: Good spark, I can leave the ignition alone.
3. Tear it down. Took off the clutch cover and 20'' TOTAL bar and chain. next pulled the top cover and wire to coil. Pulled off carb and intake. Finally took off recoil.
4. Cleaning. Started with a putty knife, then small screwdriver, compressed air and finally windex. It needs more but this will work while im fixing it.
Now a couple questions, the carb is a tilloston HS then has a bunch of numbers. Can I use a normal Tilloston rebuild kit?
The saw has a date cast into the intake area, "73" in a circle. Is that the build year? Finally what size bar would you reccomend? It has a 20" on it now, but so does the 621. Thanks guys. heres some pics.
When I got it

updates to come

Looks like a nice project.
All there with nothing missing.
Great compression. She will be
an excellent runner.
As for bar length. i would say
18 to 24 inch would be fine.
