I gotta go off topic and go to bat for the Russians here, on the use of the narcotic gas at least. The atual operation worked flawlessly, 3 captives shot, no explosives detonated, no service members dead.
It was the after action PPP (Piss Poor Planning) that allowed people to drown in their own vomit.
even then, with the terrorist starting to shoot captives, less then 150 of over 800 died.
