Hello Gents,
I see there are several Norwood mill owners in here. I'm looking at a 2003 Norwood 2000 w/ 15hp Kohler, custom made detachable axles 3000lbs rating, rear jack, and lap siding attachment, and 8 blades.
Can someone tell me what a good price on this set up would be? I have only seen pictures to this point and it looks like it's in excellent condition. Owner is selling due to moving 2,000 miles away...doesn't want to take it with I guess.
Intended use would be to build 50 X 30 barn, siding/rafters/roof/etc... mostly milling maple, cottonwood, birch, and possibly some cherry/and oak.
In my research it looks to have retailled new in the 8,000 range. I think I can get it for roughly half somewhere btw 4 and 5 G's.
Appreciate any insight everyone might have.

That mill will do what you need, no problem at all... Only consideration is, if you want longer lumber you may have to add some track...

"If" it's in the shape you describe, it won't last long at that price...
