Why couldn't you throw a CSM on that monster saw and slab up some of that trunk???

You had said "sadly most of it ended up as firewood"...so what was able to be milled?

Actually I tend to chuckle to myself when I'm out driving and see a guy bucking up a nice straight 30"+ log and I picture myself stopping and yelling as I run over there "Noooooooooooooooooo!"

Beautiful big tree... didn't look like too many defects in that huge trunk. Curious why you didn't try and get some lumber out of it rather than slice it into little firewood sized chunks.

Anyway... I WANT SOME... as I have said before, yet another beautiful tree you guys have down there that some of us would pay dearly for up here.

For those still crying about that one, here's a couple of sites showing someone had more sense than to turn a giant red-gum into firewood.
