We have a row of nine redwood trees in our back yard. Three of them are getting very tall and we're afraid the roots will damage the pool since they are only about ten feet away.
Is it necessary to remove them?

May I ask which was there first, the trees or the pool? When were they planted and/or when was the pool put in.

And are these Sequoia sempervirens or a cultivar of this species?

Are these trees in a lawn area or by themselves? There is information that whereas these trees respond vigorously to ample water and fertilizer amendments, it is not in their best interest for strength and longevity.

Pictures would be very beneficial in answering your questions.
