Got a bathroom with long installed Western Red Cedar, I presume, on the walls. This is likely 30-40 years old tongue and groove v-beveled planks arranged diagonally.
Over the years, the board just behind the sink/vanity have become faded, probably from being "wiped down" and a bit spotted from liquid hand soap dispenser, due to "too thin" soap.
Been looking for some kind of oil or other treatment to "refresh" that section to show less fading and match the surrounding boards a bit better.
I have seen "Cedar Oil" advertised, but chasing those leads turns up nothing really. Perhaps that is a Unicorn?. I do have some "Teak oil" on hand for a teak shower seat and may chance testing that, but long term effects would still be unknown.
Any experiences?
