rocket stoves and hybrids

Well, afterburn would be in a modern stove where the cat is and secondaries, etc with a baffled stove and air injection there.
 
Here is one I did from a 100lbs propane tank, I photographed it with FLIR device attached to an iphone to see what sort of heat I was getting out of it. The burn chamber was 600+ Fahrenheit and the very top was 500 or so. the exhaust pipe was cool to touch. I was burning oak hardwood floor cut offs.

cool pic , i was going to use a 40 lb propane cylinder on top of a plain cast iron box , what did you use for the up tube and insulation ?

i got a full rocket stove planed in the future but i was going to try to raise the efficiency and get a cleaner burn out of my regular stove , kinda like a heat reclaimer that dose not need electricity to work .

The riser is just welded scrap square tubing.
