Saw has the Tillotson HS222 carb. Ordered DG 5HS/t kit and wrong gaskets. Anyone know the correct rebuild kit for this saw? Not sure the carb is model HS222 but sure it is a Tillotson.

acresinternet has it slightly wrong. I still have the paperwork for the saw and the correct Tillotson carb is the HK, not the HS. The HS could never work because the mounting holes are very different. Have ordered another kit and time will tell.
I used a magnifying glass to search for a model number on the HS and there is no such thing.
In all my years of fiddling with infernal combustion engines, I've never found any gasket I could not make myself except metal clad head gaskets.
There is one reason you take the carb off the saw in question and make certain what carb you are dealing with, the makers name and the model number is stamped or embossed on the carb so there is no mistake . I couldn`t tell you how many times I have been asked what kit fits my, insert name of saw here, my answer is what carb is on your saw and often the reply is, I don`t know and don`t want to take the carb off until I get a kit. That is usually where the conversation ends.
