Recently, we added at our site, www.mdvaden.com , a page on safe and toxic woods for pet birds, listed in the menu bar.

Would any of you with websites be interested in putting similar information on your websites as a courtesy for your customers or local area?

Our list is tailored to the PNW.

We found out from via the local 4-H, that a couple of the ladies that make bird toys and perches in our area, are willing to supply our birds with food and toys in exchange for a trickling but consistent supply of tree limbs - the safe ones, and from yards we know to be free of pesticide programs.

If you have pet birds, that may be an avenue to check out. Many of these people don't need enourmous volumes of limbs. Maybe a dozen scotch pine limbs and 40 corkscrew willow limbs could suffice for a few months of their needs.

The 4-H kids may enjoy a contribution too.
