Hi, I’m looking at buying this Jonsered 625 and was looking for all the info on it. What the serial number can tell me, if it’s a good and reliable saw, and if it’s worth $200? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It’s worth $200 if it’s in decent shape and runs. It’s built on the same (nearly) case as the husky 162, 61, 266, 268, and 272. Other jred variants are the 630 and 670 (both a little more powerful than the 625). Yours is a 1988 model, built in the 32nd week of the year, and the 640th off the line

The 625 is very similar spec wise to the 61, 61cc, open port, however, like the 670 it uses an intake boot rather than a Husky style block. Parts can definitely be more difficult for the red 162 chassis saws than the Orange ones, but, it is a good solid saw and well worth that price in good order.

I have one as well. Starts and runs but runs lean on the high end. It need and intake clamp. Does anyone know where I can locate one? It's a rectangular clamp.
