I live on a small island in alaska. I own a 359 with a 24" bar, here in town the husky service is good but the parts are not. However it is the opposite with the local Stilhl dealer. I put up 6 cords of firewood a year and all of it is beach combed wood, completely covered in sand. I have always ran full chisel chain, but after lurking here for awhile I have figured out I should be using semi chisel or chipper chain. (tired of filing after every single log) I was wondering what stihl brand chain i can use.

Stihl semi-chisel chain: RM or RMC (Yellow labeled, non-safety chain)

Consult your dealer to see what's available of those two in your pitch and gauge.

ASIDE: Just to avoid confusion with the chains mentioned above, RM2 and RMC3 are semi-chisel safety chains. They have a green label and tie strap.
