I see that shaver extends there chimney down into the fire box about 1' off the bottom. Is this a good design. It seems to me that you would loose alot of heat out of the chimney. they claim this is their secondary combustion chamber. what is your thoughts.

I think they should make it 6" off the bottom personally. I have seen on several occasions the air in the top of the chamber slowly ignite into blue flames - wicked looking! Looks like little blue flying insects - don't watch too closely - your eyebrows will hate you :)
