I use rubber tire tubes and sometimes custom wooden block off plates on exhausts or intakes. Light bulbs fit in many intake boots for pressure washing those, testing or double up the intake boot lock rings from smaller models with a rubber plate, some screws and nuts. The intake with rubber seems to give most issues but presents the most options to seal it. A piece of plastic under the boot also works to vacuum test.

Just did a 441, where I slipped a piece of firm closed-cell foam sheet between the intake boot and the cylinder...tighten up screws, and airtight.

That's an AM 026 fuel line between the impulse nipple and the tester.

I just make the eighth inch aluminum plates as I need them, usually use a gasket as a pattern for the plate. I think the next time I'll try not using hold down bolts, just glue the plates on with Dirko since it's only supposed to test at around 7 lbs pressure. Of course it'll take a while for the Dirko to set..
