Yep use the bar length that feels the best to you. I prefer a 28" bar when I have a choice.

I blame treeslinger.

I started with 064/084/ than to 066.wanted a lighter saw since wrist operation and liked what I heard about the 372.after treeslinger did what he did to this saw,you have to be careful not to cut little trees clean off.btw,the handle bars take some getting used to coming from stihl.there is a few stumps I flush cut and stuck upside down in the dirt, as to avoid any smart ass remarks from my so called friends.stay safe, dan.

While I like my 372, I just love my 346 in that small wood. Pick one up and sent it to Treeslinger, then report back to us.

I was trying to be funny redbug.the older saws,just use the handlebars.I figure if I ever get caught falling mass timber on my neighbors land,I could just tell him I am trying to sight my saw in.lmao.stay safe, dan.
