Hi all. Here are some pictures of the project. I've got the 9 8x8x10' sills milled out. I'm pleased with the results. The wane will not get in the way for the sills. On the rack are first of 9 8x8x10' posts, much nicer logs there, I should get them easily wane-free.

This CSM'ing is great! I'm thinking I'll mill out 1 1/2" flooring for the barn in red maple and red oak. Anyone ever use red maple for anything?

Interesting... keep them coming. Yes I have used red maple in the woodshop. It's a little softer than hard maple, but not by a lot. Works with tools well, similar to hard maple or cherry.

So what is your time table? When will we actually see some form or structure taking place?

I hope to have a barn raising in November. Should have the sills, floor joists, and flooring in place by the beginning of August. Next time I am out there I'll do a close up of the uni-stut rails.
