Silver Lining in the Arctic Cold Weather

EAB, gypsy moths, ticks and other pests just took a beating. One or two more good cold whacks this winter should set them back significantly.

This is good news. I've been hoping the cold would knock them down a bit.

Don't know what part of PA your in but I've been cutting ash killed by the EAB for 3 years now.

Vermonster I hope you are right! Ticks here have gotten very bad in the warmer months.

We have the EAB here....towns have been cutting all the ash trees down along the roads.

We're south of Allentown. The EAB is not far away but so far the ash is dying from ash yellows here.

It gets cold up here every year for months on end, there ain't no slowing down the EAB. Been cutting then for over 5 years now.
