Took my boy out today to my property looking for some wood to play with. Found a nearly dead 20+" pine I decided to dispatch. Good, solid wood to play in.
Videos uploading/processing now. Crummy cell phone shot by my 9yo, but hey, they're sawing videos!

How about some noodles?

My pride and joy CS500VL broke its starter spring before the videos, so won't be appearing today..
the 4620, 032, 600P, and 655 all will though. ;)

First vid... the little guy 4620...
some of the smoke was pitch melting onto the muffler outlet... But I think a 20" log is a bit much.
Chain appeared ok, I checked later...

Those old 032s are pretty good saws, ran mine for about an hour today before work. Just dreading when the day comes that something breaks... Doesn't seem like theirs very many parts to go around on these older saws

Matt

Here's the 4620's sumo wrestler big brother, the 655....

Now the 032 takes a turn...
<iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/KluVnqotPmo?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
And finally my 600

I apologize for the video quality... my 9yo cameraman obviously isn't a pro yet.
He did make a couple small cuts today, with me assisting of course..
I wish I could've taken noodling video too, but the 600 was the champ there. The 655 and 032 pulled some great ones, but both clogged fairly easy. The 600 just kept going and going, and no clogging.
Will be more fun later this week.

Think I might try to get the fuel line in the old homie fixed up so it can play too.
The 020 is a lost cause at the moment.
Anyone looking for a clean, good compression 020 in a box? ;)

Great thread...

I miss cutting with my Father.

Take all the pictures and videos you can.
Your son will remember these days in the woods, and tell his kids about them..

Hey, get a Husky!

couple new pics from today

Every saw guy needs a test log, right??

And a little free-hand milling..... very little

Not smooth at all, but free hand, with .404 skip, just to get a feel.
