I have taken my chainsaw in for repair and received it back yesterday. It would not idle down and that was what I took it in for. It still won't idle down and they put a carb kit in it and also a hose. I would appreciate any ideas as I am able to do the repairs myself if I know where to start. Thanks

If I had access to a good working carb I would try that to see if that is what you need. Other then that check the simple things such as gas tank vent ,( loosen the gas cap while saw is running) .Make sure your cylinder bolts and crankcase screws are torqued, the carb manifold boot and impulse hose are in good condition and properly connected. If you don't find the problem have it pressure and vacume tested by someone that knows what they are doing. You might have to find a good servicing dealer with the right tools and a person that knows how to use them.Wish you well.
