Stihl 041 running problem

Hi,

I have a stihl 041 with no throttle control. It takes quite a few pulls to get it started, and when it eventually starts, it revs up slightly then down and then dies. When it is running ( which is only for a few seconds at a time) I cannot control the throttle speed. The engine bogs when I give it throttle. There is a lot of oil and gas coming out of the exhaust. We have installed a new carb kit with no luck. Does anyone have any ideas for me to try. Thanks.

basics

Back to basics. Check fuel, air, compression, and spark. Then look at pulse hose and fuel hoses. Now check base gaskets under carburetor and intake block.
Just a thought, is everything in the correct place on the carburetor, gasket, inlet lever, screen?

If all the gaskets are sound below the carb to the cylinder, I would check if your cylinder base gasket has not blown out.
