Stihl 066 Or Not Questions

Well I bought what was suppose to be an 066 today but I'm having my doubts. The air filters I see for an 066 are oval filters, the one I bought does not have that type filter. Also what is the black cover over the air filter cover. Whatever it is what's it worth? It starts and runs great.

Looks like you have a "Frankensaw", the AF cover is not for your saw. Someone has cobbled those parts (and possibly others) on to the saw.

I was looking more last night and it seems to be that the filter and cover is a winter filter and cover. I don't know if they were sold that way or just an option. I seen some on eBay last night they were nos directly from Stihl for an 064/066.

Like these. So I don't think they were necessarily cobbled on. Possibly came that way or added at a later time?

Would I be out of line to ask what you paid for it?
I just bought an 066 and the prices seem to differ quite a bit. What you have there sure looks like a 66 to me.

$375. He wanted $375 obo. Something like that sells to quick to try to offer less. What did you pay?

I paid $250 but it has low compression probably paid a little much but hoping I got lucky and will get by just cleaning her up and slapping rings in it
