stihl 08s chainsaw

Hi i'm a newbie to site and after some info on Stihl 08s chainsaw. Basically after a workshop manual or some info on this item if anyone can help. Can anyone tell me what oil tank is for no right hand side of saw? Is this for chain oil or gearbox/clutch?Got the saw free from brother with no paperwork so any help greatly appreciated!!!
