I seen on a thread a while back that a guy was modifying mufflers with a stainless exhaust pipe. Anyone know who that is? If I do a muffler mod. can the carb. be adjusted by the hi/lo screws or is it more extensive than that?

You'll have to pull the limiter caps off the carb.. They limit adjustment to a fraction of a turn. You'll need more.
That's Scott Wojo that did those mods, but you can use a factory dual-port muffler cover.
