I figured by now some of you would have guessed a, 034 ,its one size smaller than an 036 and runs a similar in carb choke.

Except that, at least in the USA, the 034 (or Super) never had a compression release. The compression release was part of the upgrade to the
036 (at least here - it may have been different in Oz).

Or it could have started out life as an 034 and been re-topped with MS340 bits that had the decomp, or been 036 PRO topped, or MS360'd, or elcheapoed into something that runs- but not as good as the original nor for as long after market type top end.

If the choke is in the air filter it is an 026 PRO version. If the choke is in the carb it is an 036 PRO.

Plastic sort of has that Chicom look to it. So, may have been around the wringer a time or two.

I think you lost your$5 ,all good, bore is 49mm stroke is 34mm making it a 039. 1125 series, 64.1cc . Thanks everyone for your help.

The 039. Series 1125 parts seem to be in short supply. Are the 039. Series 1127 parts interchangeable?

It is most assuredly not an 039 .

039 looks nothing like this.

The 039 is a clamshell and the saw pictured is a vertically split magnesium crankcase saw,it very well coud be an 036 but the OP has been insisting it was a smaller version/model.

Yeah but the poor fellow is Australian and managed to narrow it down to being a Stihl- so credit where credit is due.

Post a photo of the markings on the bottom sides of the cylinder.

Hi Zero, no disrespect ment from my last post. Looks like you are on the money. Bore is 48mm Stroke is 30 mm 54.3cc . Thanks for your help. Cheers Lynden
