I made two router sleds and I never liked either of them, buta recent acquisition of a giant maple cookie made me decide to spend the money on something good.
Turns out it wasn’t that expensive after all, and works great.

This is not the aforementioned cookie- this is Sycamore. The maple cookie is 4’ across at the narrow end and thick enough to cut into 2 cookies.

One set of 59” with slides was $80, and I bought 3 to handle any length and width I’m likely to get.

Looks good. Most that I have seen have a flat surface to sit your wood on so that you can put wedges and stuff underneath to stop it rocking around while you flatten one side. Have you needed to do this with yours?
