Has it been done b4. Does it work ? Seems like it would be a good option were squish is important. I just put a 350 husky back together but can't do any testin wether it's gonna hold up. It does great on a vac test. I'm just intrested in durability ? I've used coper sheet before for heads on sleds and have seen aluminum used . Flame me for a stupid question That's prolly been answerd.

i just seal it with yamabond if the squish is .021" or more.
if it was less when you left the stock gasket out you could shim up to the .021".
i don't know what kind of coatings may be on beer cans.
the last stock base gasket i measured was .020"-for an 028
