Well I went out today to cut some red oak logs for my brother-in-law. He got an order for some oak beams, and he didn't have any oak logs at his mill.
I loaded up a few saws in the trailer and headed out. I fell a couple trees with the 036 and then I decided to fire up the 306A and see what she would do. Man that old girl has got a lot of torque for a 59cc saw, much harder to stall out then the 036, but the chain speed of the Sthil makes it saw a lot faster. It also doesn't hurt that I just put on a brand new Sthil RSC chain on the 036. I've got an old 16" hard-nose bar on the 306A, I think I will step up to a 20" sprocket nose soon. My wife and kids don't seem to like the Poulan very much, they say it is too loud. When they complain, I just say "what? can't hear 'ya, saw is loud"! :greenchainsaw:
