Hello,

Please see attached photos of our young tree form Rose of Sharon that we planted earlier this summer. We did have a very hot summer here in North Texas, so I am curious if this may be due to direct sunlight or something else. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
E

A number of issues are at hand. Chlorosis, herbicide injury and sun scalding.

oh dear! how should we properly treat it?

**So the overwatering may be a possibility.. I just took a look at the dedicated "Bubbler" for the tree and it was almost fully open! This is tied to a sprinkler system that goes off every other day for around 10min.. I gave it a quarter turn until it was only a trickle of water coming out

Water management is very important, most new plant owners tend to over water. Check soil PH with a soil test, 6.5 to 6.8 is best for hibiscus. If you have been fertilizing and still have chlorosis the problem may be the PH. Stop with the herbicide near the plant.
