My Son was hanging on my Apple tree when one of the major trunks broke. The break was about six feet up. The core of this trunk was rotten. I cut the trunk as low I could and drilled out (about 6”x8” into the main trunk) the rest of the rotten portion, as much as I could (the local nursery told me to do that). The local Nursery told me to use tree sealer inside the hole. Since the hole is vertical, they also told me to drill a second horizontal hole to allow water to escape. I thought it would be better to fill it with some type of epoxy. What should I do? Please help and soon...
