Helping a friend with carb problem.Saw runs great until warm.I noticed the heating plate on the carb is mounted between the boot and the back of the carb.Shouldn't it be mounted in front,near/over the choke butterfly.Seems to me you want to heat the air BEFORE it enters carb, not after.I can't find diagram of heated carg.
thanks,
Ed

Yes,the heating plate should be in front of the carb.At least on saws i know.He should not run it if the temp is quite warm because he is gonna get a vapor lock problem with the thing on.

on some huskies there are 2 heater plates, one on top of plate to prevent carb freezing and other on intakerubber to prevent the intake freezing... btw, if it runs fine until it warms up the cylinder is either leaking or carb is set way too rich...
