My dad has a gray Oak that is growing up in Lac la Hache B.C. Canada which is mid level of Canada.

He would like to know when is a good time to transplant it. It is approximately 30 inches tall.

Thanks.:blob2:

You may have to adjust this advice for Mid-Level Canada, but here in southern Ohio, I find that transplanting trees that small are pretty much plant-and-forget, if I do it in mid-fall. I'd do it whenever you are fairly sure the hot weather is over, and you're expecting fairly wet weather. By next year, it should be fairly well rooted.

I've transplanted small saplings in the early spring, too, but find they need a little more attention, when the hot weather gets here.

Hope that helps.
