White spruce pruning?

I have a row of mostly White spruce (some Colorado mixed in). I was told that the best time to prune them was the weekend of the Indy 500.

Any pointers on how much to take off to shape them up?

Naw,

being a native of these parts for 50+ years, been used to listening to the race on the radio. When I was a kid it was always blacked out. The radio was the only way to get it live. It sure is alot more exiting than watching it.

I think I will take the "light hand" approach, they sure look nice with all them fresh candles sprouting. And they are still just babies.
