Just cut up a relatively small weeping willow that blew over from pasal rot. Nothing structural left below the soil, the only sign of damage was a large low limb removed (very low) with cambial dieback going to the roots.
One more instance supporting my preferance to not remove large limbs. The whole basal area ws just mush.
